Happy Nurse Appreciation Week to all of the amazing men and women who do this for a profession!
Nurses are “heroes” in its truest definition. What they encounter in a daily shift is emotionally, physically and spiritually exhausting. Our mother was a nurse and we started this company in her honor after losing her to cancer in 2012. We have the deepest respect for nurses and what they do.
Amid the Covid-19 outbreak, nurses have been risking their lives to protect the lives of others. Last year, to thank some of these brave men and women, we donated 25 of our “Send to Thank a Frontline Hero” packages to nurses at a local hospital in one of the hardest-hit areas near us for Nurse Appreciation Week.
This year, we were fortunate enough to partner with that same hospital to create a custom gift for their entire nursing staff for the 2021 Nurse Appreciation Week.
We came up with a package that both honored their challenging year and provided an outlook of optimism about the future.
Nurses show up for their patients, no matter the storm, so we gifted each of them an umbrella in fun patterns to brighten up their rainy days. The umbrellas were paired with a candle in the custom scent of "Blue Skies" as a sign of hope, and to remind them that darkness will always be brought into light. The candles were paired with adorable matches.
